Call me type-A but I love a good list! The only thing better than crossing off my list is keeping track of all the great progress made! As we get into our rhythm for the school year, there are a few specific areas I want to be more intentional about. A couple weeks back I joined up with the #5booksadaychallenge to read more with my cute crew. We have mounds of books and all the intentions but also all the distractions. We do a read aloud time everyday at lunch time or snack but I want to do more of the kind of reading where we pile on the couch and read whatever picture books they want- intentionally unintentional about what we read. Part of cultivating a love for reading is letting children take ownership of what they read and leadership on what they read. Of course, while they’re little (my oldest is just 6) they select from books I’ve chosen for them or with them at the library.

As an incentive to keep our goal going I created this fun printable activity. We’ll keep track of what we read through out the month! I couldn’t resist a seasonal theme so apples it is! Want to join in with us? Click the button below to grab the FREE printable reading log!
