On Friday’s we keep it simple.

Learn + PLAY activities to keep it fun, minimal schedule to keep it simple.

I put a menu of activities up on the chalkboard (with magnatile magnets 😉) and let them lead the way.

After a full week of learning we’re ready for a weekend of rest!

A:We love to use it as enrichment and practice in areas we know need review! They’re perfect for independent review time while I do direct instruction with a sibling. And they’re PERFECT for low-key lessons on Fun Friday!

Hey y’all, just popping in with a quick moment of transparency.

I shared in my stories what we did this afternoon for Fun Friday. And almost immediately my inbox was filled with the sweetest messages (y’all really are the most kind group of friends) words like, “I want to be like you” or “you are the best mom ever” But what I want, no, what I need you to know is that I am not what is only portrayed in this space. This has been a challenging week with variations in our schedule, behavior struggles, and times when I really doubted my ability to mother well. I was impatient, easily frustrated over small things and then there were tears- so many tears. I am a flawed mama and weak in more areas than I like to admit.

BUT when I mess up I’m quick to apologize and I am trusting the Lord to cover my weakness with His strength. I am praying He will grow me in His grace. This morning I was reminded of 2 Corinthians 12:9

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Just as He is my strength, He can be yours too. And I hope you’ll always know anything and everything good in this space is all and only because of Him.
