Today is the official Summer solstice. The happiest day because it’s the longest we’ll enjoy daylight hours all year! I’ve been feeling a little low lately but making today’s dandelion sunshine with my little girls made my heart so happy. 💕

10 years

Sometimes it feels like a blink, most of the time it feels like I can’t imagine my life apart from you. In 10 years we’ve grown and changed so much. We are not the people who stood in the barn on a hot June evening and promised forever to each other. We’ve walked through difficult times, we’ve celebrated the happiest moments, we’ve seen the Lord’s hand provide for us and lead us in ways we never could have imagined. I love you, respect you, trust you, and appreciate you more deeply now than I could have on our perfect wedding day. Today we lived out our vows more than celebrated them but even in that there is so much beauty. Real love is the walking in between.

While today was quite productive it was pretty far

While today was quite productive it was pretty far from the “normal” I had planned. This week is going to be off because of my surgery tomorrow but in all my running around today I was able to spend one on one time with each of my cute crew. Something each of us treasure. It was a happy accident because I didn’t plan it out that way. Don’t you just love when things like that happen?! 💗 The Lord is so good to give such sweet gifts!

Thank you so much for your kind words, encouragement, and prayers today. I am grateful for them. My surgery should be a very quick, outpatient procedure and I’m hopeful to bounce right back. I’m not known for sitting still very long. 😜

So, although today was far from normal, I’d say all-in-all it was a very good today. Together will always be my favorite place to be. 💕

Today was a good day for a down day. We kept the basics of our summer schedule but also gave much needed attention to caring for our home. All four of us worked together on everything from washing baseboards to laundry and vacuuming. We worked hard all morning long.

It’s strange and wonderful being in the wonder years with my cute crew. They’re both so big and yet still so small. Their help is actually helpful (most of the time😜) I couldn’t help but praise the Lord for giving me the incredible of motherhood today. I love getting to do life with them whether we’re cleaning or playing, learning or wrestling through messy emotions- I’ll take it all. 💗 Being their mama really is the #bestjobever

I remember a mama a few years ahead of me sharing a similar sentiment about having helpful kids back when I had 3, 3 and under. She was equally amazed with this newfound treasure. But she also encouraged those of us with babies that one day we’d find ourselves no longer having to vacuum or put away dishes. We’d have little helpers that would actually help! 🙌🏻 It wasn’t a babies don’t keep sentiment so much as, there’s so much good ahead. 💗 Whatever season of life you’re in just know there is so much good right now ...and there always will be.
