April 2024 Collection

April is here and so is a new collection of resources in the Learn + PLAY Club! You’ll find loads of fun new resources perfect for rounding out the school year with playful review and fun. There’s something for everyone from preschool play packs to two step math problems to solve and language art skills to develop. You’re sure to find playful learning activities perfect for your learner!

Learn + PLAY Club members get immediate access to everything in the new collection AND every single other resource I have written (there are almost 600!) If you’re not a member yet, it’s the perfect time to join! Fun review and lots of playful summer learning activities! It’s just $17/month with no strings attached. Use any and all the activities you want! No locked in contracts. Come, stay as long as you like and cancel when you need to! Have questions? Check out this FAQ blogpost.

Practice letter recognition, letter sounds, AND fine motor skills with this adorable alphabet activity! Learners will cut out the images and glue them on to the large letter. Make it more fun by adding it color to the pictures!

Players will take turns turning over cards and reading them. If a player finds a lightning card, keep it! Collect three and you win!If a player turns over a rainbow game card they get another chance to turn over a card. To win, players should keep turning over cards, reading them and playing until someone has found three lightning cards! The first to get three lightning cards wins!

This Preschool Learn + PLAY pack was created to give meaningful learning activities for your littlest learners. Skills covered include recognizing letters,  name spelling, weather, fine motor fun, sorting, and one to one correspondence. The file has 5 different activities that could easily be laminated and used several times over!

Picture Book Parade is a curated collection of seasonal books with accompanying mini lessons in language arts and fun crafts. Each guide includes 4 different, well loved picture books. Mini lessons are in written to be easily taught and reinforced. Additional activity pages reinforce mini lessons but are not required. Additionally there are four craft ideas to make the picture book come alive through creativity and artsy fun! The crafts don’t require extensive materials nor skills. They’re intended to be a fun way to make memories together around a favorite story!  This picture book parade explores four books- The Biggest Puddle in the World by Mark Lee, Come On, Rainby Karen Hesse,  Thundercake by Patricia Polacco and Outside In by Deborah Underwood

This template is perfect for learners taking a closer look at spelling rules and patterns. Sometimes using a shorter list (around six words) is better for students to develop a strong understanding. Included in the file is an introduction to Orton-Gillingham spelling with suggested spelling words to work on those patterns/rules.

Use do a dot markers or paint markers to dot the image. Next, you’ll trace the word and then write it on the lines. Get creative and add a fun background to the picture if you want to!

This file includes 3 different fraction activities:

Fraction Equal = Equal

In this activity learners will compare two different fraction representations and choose which side of the chart to put the card on whether the fractions are equal or not.

Fraction Clip Cards

Look at the fraction representation and clip the correct fraction.

Fraction Cover

Cover the images to show the fraction amount.

These are just a FEW of the new resources available April 1st. Head over to the New Resources tab to check out the rest of the great activities we’re enjoying

I can’t wait to hear what you think of the resources this month! Enjoy learning + PLAYing together!
