Addition review made SNOW much fun! This activity is easy to elevate or keep simple depending on what your routine needs. To make it a little extra fun I added the mitten cards to a tray of epsom salt to make it look like snow. This activity comes with tons of mitten cards to make reusable multiple times!
My first grader is coming up on compound words with All About Reading. I know it’s going to be concept we’ll need to review a good amount. So, I created a set of compound word snowmen. These fun puzzles will be the perfect way to review and build reading fluency!
This NO-PREP activity is great for review days or for a little extra practice. This set focuses on short vowels specifically.
Adding to subtract may seem backwards but it’s actually a GREAT strategy! This activity was inspired by our Math You See lessons on basic subtraction. To play learners will solve subtraction equations by determining the addition equation opposite of it.
Sequencing is a valuable skill that builds over time to become a tool for greater comprehension. At the preschool level, learners practice higher order thinking skills to find patterns and make predictions. Then later they transfer those skills to reading comprehension – understanding the beginning, middle, and end of a story. These skills begin with basic sequencing similar to the Frosty First Second Third activity. It’s a cute take on sequencing with an option to review either cardinal or ordinal numbers.
Shape books are an easy way to make writing creative and engaging! This adorable shape book cover looks like a snowglobe and inside you’ll find lined pages in the same shape.
Back for January the reading log bookmark collection grows! This month you’ll color in snowflakes for books read, time intervals read, etc. It’s up to you! Print, Cut, Color and you’re all set! Add a yarn tassel for extra fun!
The growing collection expands! The Daily Math sets (both level A and B) are now complete through week 16! When fully complete the file will include math review for an entire 36 week school year!
Build up that reading fluency with these emergent reader mini books. This month’s collection includes three cute winter themed stories. One using discernment to deduce the correct had, one for dressing for the weather, and one for sequencing. All three are engaging and meaningful for developing reading skills! (and a little creativity too!)
The sight word snow man is a guaranteed fun way to review and PLAY! Practice, review and master sight words. When the word is mastered, add it to the snowman. How tall will your snowman grow?!
You asked and I listened! Families are looking for more activities for their preschoolers so I made a small collection of activities that preschooler will LOVE! From do a dots to shape puzzles, sorting, and more!
I had so much positive feedback from my Christmas collection of basic fact cards, I just HAD to create them again for the winter!
