June 2024 Collection

June 2024 Collection

Hello Summer! Let's Have Fun Learning!

Summer is here and so is the sweet slow rhythm of unhurried days! I am all about relaxing, having fun, AND still maintaining all the good learning we did this school year. While we are technically on Summer Break, we will still be doing daily learning – math every day at a minimum. To make our learning more fun, I created a collection of activities to engage kids minds and promote learning fun! Keep scrolling to see what’s in store with June’s collection!

Here are the highlights:

Practice your cursive skills this Summer with a set of silly riddles and practice pages!

Build your vocabulary this summer with a Word of the Day! This resource includes 20 new words to learn and explore. Each day has a new word with its part of speech, definition and an example sentence using the word.

Print, cut out, and attach to a binder ring to flip through and discover a new word every day!

Five different spelling pages to practice and review tricky words.

This file includes the following practice sheets:

•Popsicle 3 Times Each
•Scoops of Spelling
•Syllable Sea Star
•Spiral Spelling
•Bouncing Beach Ball Words

I also share how I EASILY come up with individualized spelling lists for each of my crew and how we use this activity in coordination with the All About Spelling curriculum.

Build sight word fluency with this adorable travel themed set. Choose a level to review (pre-primer through third grade) and add mastered sight word “tickets” to your growing suitcase! How many tickets can you collect!?

To use this journal you’ll have your child/student color in the image and talk about what it is. Then use the boxes to identify each sound in the word represented by the picture. Write the letters to spell the word in the boxes. (one sound per box- some sounds are made by two letters sh/oo/ll.) Then, work together with your child/student to write a sentence using that word. Talk about proper capitalization and punctuation. You only need to write one sentence- you can either write the sentence for your child/student or have him/her write independently. Try to do one word and sentence each day.

These black and white readers are perfect for beginning readers building fluency! Each book focuses on one short vowel sound and includes several sight words as well. Each book lists the total number of words in the story, how many short vowel words and how many sight words. This file includes 5 different 10 page books. If you like this set look for  additional sets coming soon. This is a growing resources. Volume 3 will be available July 1 and will focus on long vowel sounds created by the magic e!

Practice mulit-digit addition with these fun summer themed review pages! Perfect to keep math skills sharp through the lazy days of summer!
