November 2023 Collection

November 2023 Collection

November is just the beginning of the most wonderful time of year! This month’s collection leans heavily into Thanksgiving fun! I’ll admit I’m guilty of sometimes scooting pretty quickly through Thanksgiving in my adoration for all things Christmas! My hope is by creating a collection of engaging, meaningful, and FUN Thanksgiving resources we’ll all add in an extra sprinkle of Thanksgiving to our learning this year! I had fun writing the resources for you this month and as always, I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Practicing these short vowel words but make it turkey style FUN! This cute game includes a variety of practice word cards for all 5 short vowels and a set of mixed review. It’s a simple game but a great way to make fluency practice FUN!

I couldn’t resist a turkey feather activity and parts of speech are just want we need review on! This activity combines coloring, cutting, sorting, and assembling to make cute turkeys with an intentional learning.

These gentle writing projects each month have been so perfect for my beginning writer. They’re engaging without being overwhelming. This month we’re using a beginning, middle, end organizer to write about our Thanksgiving Day plans!  This file follows the same framework as previous writing projects and is a great next step for our little writers!

UPDATE: The Daily Math mini pages were one of the MOST downloaded resources last month! I’m thrilled that they struck a cord for so many families! (yay!) I added 4 more weeks to the growing collection for both levels A and B.

This one is just so super cute! I can’t wait to put together this pack for my cute crew! It’s perfect for screen free, traveling fun or at a kids table for the holiday. We’ll use it as an enrichment. Everyone LOVES when I create there puzzle packs. I can’t wait to hear what you think!

This one is just for FUN! But don’t be fooled there’s a lot to learn while playing. Each player will use cutting skills to build their own unique bingo board. This one is another super cute one for the kids table at Thanksgiving or just for enrichment!

Not to be left out, here are this month’s reading log bookmarks. They’re foldable and fun to fill! Capture all that great reading this month by keeping track coloring in acorns along the way! See if you can fill in the whole bookmark by December!

Whip up a 10! In our house we L-O-V-E a good pumpkin pie! My middle girlie is working on the concept of ten bonds. This little activity was inspired by her and I have a feeling you’ll love the festivity of it too! Add whips of cream to each pie so that every one has 10! Use cotton balls, play dough, or maybe the real thing if you’re brave! I’d suggest laminating it first in that case. 🙂

I asked and you answered. Last month I asked what book you’d like to see next and here it is! My newest chapter book study guide- Sarah Plain and Tall. The file includes vocabulary work and comprehension questions for every chapter. It also includes a closer look at similes and two final projects to choose from! Stay tuned for our next book study guide! These are a fun addition to my Learn + PLAY resource library!

Word problems keeping you stuck. These bite sized practice pages help break down word problems to the tiniest detail. The file includes 5 pages (one for each week in November) Just add in one per week to practice the skill of decoding word problems, uncovering what they’re asking, and solving them with confidence.

Predictable books can be helpful for a variety of learners. These sweet books are filled with the ideas of your learner! Each page has a small prompt and space for your own words. Each page also has an image (or space for an image) to represent the text written. These are great for beginning readers and writers!

These cutie cards can be used in a variety of ways. You can use them as flash cards, a matching game, or even for subitizing practice!

This isn’t even all of it! There’s still more! Head over to see the full NEW RELEASE collection here:

November always blends so quickly into December with all the joy and warmth of Christmas.
