Homophone Football Game

This activity is a fun way to review the concept of homophones. It’s played like Go Fish but with footballs and making pairs of homophones! Each player gets 3 footballs. The rest are in the center of the playing area face down. Players take turns asking for a homophone to match one in their hand. If the asked player doesn’t have the matching the homophone then the asking player “goes long” to catch (pick up) a football to find a match. Players continue taking turns until all the footballs are paired up. Whichever player has the most passes (footballs) wins!
