Summer Drawing Prompts

Drawing is an excellent pathway for writing. The practice of dreaming up a scene or event is a precursor to brainstorming a story to write.

These five drawing prompts were designed to be a fun way to exercise creativity! They’re intentionally left open ended for your child to color, draw, add stickers, or imagine anything they want to complete them. Each page has a very basic scene and then a prompt for the picture.
